| DOMERMAN PINSCHER |
| | HISTORY : The Dobermann pinscher was developed by a German Gentleman Louis Dobermann. In a short span of about 35 (1865-1890) years he succeeded is developing a dog remarkable in his qualities of alertness, agility, muscular and temperamental excellence. As ancestors the Dobermann pinscher has short-haired shepherd-dog. Rottweiler, Black and Tan Terrier and smooth-haired German pinscher.
DESCRIPTION : He is a smooth-haired, well built handsome dog of medium size with a square body. He has a sharp head, a deep chest and short, docked tail, he stands 65-68cms( 251/2ins) at withers. His colours are black , red , blue and fawn (Isabella) with rust markings above each eye, on the muzzle, forechest, legs and feet and below tail.
CHARACTER: The Dobermann is highly intelligent. He is fanatically loyal to his master and excellent guard dog. He ils used as police dog for both guarding and tracking, but is not rated highly as a family pet.
SPACE AND EXERCISE : A daily walk on the lead. He is not a dog for small houses or flats.
ATTENTION REQUIRED: A light brushing daily.
